The pumps are deceptively simple in design, but their very simplicity makes them both robust and reliable with a minimum of moving parts. The applications for GOTEC pumps are many and varied, from drink dispensers to chemical dosing.

This design of Electromagnetic Piston Pump was pioneered by GOTEC SA, a long established simple and reliable design. The pumps are small, compact and quite powerful. The driving mechanism is integrated with the body of the pump and there is no need of a shaft seal. With only one moving part, these pumps are virtually maintenance-free and offer a very long life expectancy.

Designed & manufactured in Switzerland, they conform to the highest standards, such as ISO 9001, ROHS, CE, some UL and many other approvals to suit applications in various countries and industries.

This particular pump is primarily used in floor cleaning equipment such as from Rug Doctor. This model also has optional lead cables built-in, as compared to the spade connectors on most of our standard pump models.

ETS PUMP CROSS-SECTION

Connected to an AC power supply, the coil generates a strong magnetic field which will move the piston of the pump back & forth, according to the frequency. This piston oscillation, with the help of built-in valves, moves the air and liquid from inlet to outlet of the pump.

ELECTRICAL SUPPLY :

Standard voltages and frequencies are 230/50, 110/60, 100/50-60, 24/50-60, 12/50-60, special voltages can be arranged for upon request.

The pumps need a rectified AC signal via an in line diode, or a Pulsed DC Signal for their operation.

Control of the pump performance is possible, by controlling the pulse frequency.

Standard coils are in temperature class F (155°C) or class H (180°C) on request. The on-time can be continuous (100%ED) in general, rated for ambient & liquid temperature about 50 °C.

Standard pumps are available with two or three AMP style 6.3 x 0.8mm tinned brass male tabs terminals but wires or other connections are also possible on request.

Insulation class is 1 with required grounding for high voltage or reinforced class on request.

INSIDE MATERIALS :

The materials in contact are adapted to the liquid and to the specific pump functions. Brass, stainless steel and high-tech plastics are mainly used. Some pump designs have no O-ring or seal, for others, a complete range of elastomers is available, included FEP coated O-rings.

Our pumps are primarily AC Voltage powered, and are available in 220V, 115V, 24V and 12 VAC. However, these pumps can also receive a DC pulsed signal, which requires a separate controller or controller board, for the generation of the pulsed DC signal.

Model PD-106 Driver Board, is a board level product intended for mounting in a customer provided enclosure. It is intended for use with Gotec solenoid piston pumps to drive the pumps with pulsed DC power. The board accepts 9-35 VDC input and has a pulsed 9-35 VDC output. The pulse length is fixed at a nominal 10ms and the dead time between pulses is adjustable via a potentiometer. The circuit can drive pumps up to 35 volts.
